Candidates Sought for Murrieta Library Commission

The deadline to apply to be a commissioner has been extended to May 26.

The City of Murrieta invites registered voters in Murrieta to apply to serve on the Library Advisory Commission for a three-year term. 

There are two vacancies on the Commission. The role of commissioners is to review policies, legislative procedures and grant proposals, and interface with the . Recommendations made by the Commission are carried forth to the City Council by the library director.

Those selected serve without compensation, and are required to: be a registered voter, take an oath, agree to an ethics code and take an ethics class.

Applications can be picked up in person from the City Clerk’s office or downloaded from the City’s website at www.murrieta.org. is located at Eight Town Square, 24601 Jefferson Ave.

The deadline for returning applications to the City Clerk has been extended to 5:30 p.m. on May 26.
