On Friday, May 10, at 11:30 a.m. in the Murrieta Fire Department Administration Building located at 41825 Juniper St., Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez will be presenting Fire Chief Matt Shobert with a Member’s Resolution as a result of his recent professional re-designation as a Chief Fire Officer. A Member’s Resolution recognizes individuals or groups that have achieved a high level of professional success. The Assemblywoman believes that Fire Chief Matt Shobert should be acknowledged for his service to the community through this prestigious and selective award.
The Chief Fire Officer recognition of achievement has been given to only 865 Fire Chiefs and has only been re-designated four times to just a select few Fire Chiefs worldwide by the Commission of Professional Credentialing. This designation has been granted to a group of professionals who have demonstrated excellence in seven main areas: experience, education, professional development, professional contributions, association membership, community involvement and technical competency.
The Murrieta Fire Department strives to serve the community through professional development and leadership that will benefit the citizens of this great city, state, and nation.
