Woman Killed in Murrieta Crash

Her identity had not yet been released.

A woman died when she was ejected from her car early Thursday on Winchester Road in Murrieta, according to news reports.

The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday as the woman was heading south on Winchester Road, just south of Robert Trent Jones Parkway, Murrieta police Sgt. Jim Gruwell told The Californian.

The Californian reported that the woman was 32 and from Vista, but her identity has not been released by the coroner's office.

She was traveling alone in a 2003 red Mitsubishi Lancer, Gruwell told the newspaper, when she crossed over the center median into the northbound lanes and down an embankment.
