ORIGINAL POST:

Black smoke was visible Tuesday afternoon in Murrieta from a wildland fire in Wildomar that at publication time had damaged at least one structure.

The blaze was reported at 2:14 p.m. in the 21900 block of Walnut Street, and involved a "structure and vegetation," according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann.

Murrieta firefighters were among 60 firefighters and 18 engine companies on scene, she reported.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

The area features several manufactured homes, although it has not been confirmed if that was the type of structure damaged today.

According to Wildomar resident Gary Andre, the yard at the residence contained "piles of junk" everywhere.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
