A procession traveled from Camp Pendleton north on Interstate 15, exited on Kalmia Street and made its way down Jefferson Avenue, where the community gathered to honor Sgt. Eric E. Williams of Murrieta.
Fallen U.S. Army , 27, of Murrieta, is escorted home Thursday by a procession that included Murrieta police and fire, American Medical Response, California Highway Patrol and Patriot Guard Riders.
Hundreds of city officials and community members lined Jefferson Avenue at City Hall to honor the fallen soldier's homecoming.
