Trial Date Delayed for Firefighter Accused of Raping Drugged Fiancee

A trial that was set to begin today for a former Chula Vista firefighter who is accused of raping his fiancee in her Murrieta home has been put off for more than a month.

The trial for William Robert Bolduc, 55, has been reset for June 1.

Bolduc is accused of raping his fiancee while she was under the influence of anesthesia from a medical procedure and videotaping the act. The crime allegedly .

Riverside District Attorney's Office Spokesman John Hall did not have immediate information as to why the trial was postponed.

Bolduc is not currently incarcerated. He remains on administrative leave from the Chula Vista Fire Department. He faces dozens of years in prison if convicted.
