Trial Delayed for Man Accused of Raping Fiancee

William Robert Bolduc, 56, a former Chula Vista firefighter, is charged with raping his fiancee while she was under anesthesia. The alleged crime took place in December 2009 at the victim's Murrieta home.

The trial of a man accused in the 2009 rape of a Murrieta woman while she was drugged from surgery has been pushed back again.

William Robert Bolduc, 56, a former Chula Vista firefighter, is charged with the December 2009 rape of his fiancee at her Murrieta home. Several days later, the fiancee found explicit images from the alleged rape on Bolduc's phone.

The photos were turned in to the Murrieta Police Department, according to court records.

Bolduc was set for a trial readiness conference Friday at Southwest Justice Center. The trial has been postponed several times since his March 2010 arrest--this time because he has a new private defense attorney.

According to Judge Kelly Hansen, the new attorney, Michael Malowney, "has multiple boxes of discovery to go through."

The trial was reset for Nov. 7. The judge ordered there be no further continuances in the trial.
