Three People Displaced in Menifee Fire

The American Red Cross was called out to help two adults and a boy who lived at the location.

A total of three people were displaced after a fire tore through their Menifee home, fire officials report.

The fire was reported just before 11 p.m. Thursday, at a home in the 33600 block of Magnetite Street, according to Riverside County Fire Department Spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.

Nearly two dozen firefighters responded to the incident, and had the blaze contained within approximately 30 minutes, according to Hendrickson.

"The first arriving engine company reported an attached garage on fire with extension into the attic," Hendrickson reported.

Damages were estimated at approximately $150,000, she said.  The American Red Cross was called out to help the two adults and boy.
