Temecula Teacher's Aide Returning to Work Following Plea Deal

Murrieta resident Tracy Lynn Betts, 42, pleaded guilty July 8 to disturbing the peace and, as a result, the child endangerment charge stemming from when her 12-year-old daughter was found wandering naked near a Temecula school was dismissed.

A Temecula Valley Unified School District aide charged with misdemeanor child endangerment has reached a plea deal and is expected to return to work, The Press-Enterprise is reporting.

Murrieta resident Tracy Lynn Betts, 42, pleaded guilty July 8 to disturbing the peace and, as a result, the child endangerment charge was dismissed, according to The Press-Enterprise report.

The child endangerment charge was filed after her 12-year-old daughter was found wandering naked through a Temecula neighborhood in February 2012.

A TVUSD official said Betts had been on voluntary leave from her district job but is expected to return to work in this upcoming school year that starts next month, The Press-Enterprise reported.
