Lake Elsinore, Murrieta Men Named Among Suspected 'Johns' Who Sought Out Prostitutes in Temecula

All seven men arrested are now facing charges of solicitation of prostitution, police said.

Temecula police recently arrested several men suspected of seeking out the services of prostitutes in town, and among those arrested were some Murrieta and Lake Elsinore men.

Sheriff's Sgt. Chris Gaskins says a total of seven suspected "Johns" were nabbed during the undercover operation, which was carried out at various locations throughout the city of Temecula on Thursday.

"'John' programs concentrate on the men who solicit women for prostitution related activities," he said.  

All seven men arrested are now facing charges of solicitation of prostitution, Gaskins said.

The following were arrested in the operation: 

  • Adolfo Vega of Moreno Valley, 647(b) PC (solicitation of prostitution)
  • Wayne Hawkins of Lake Elsinore, 647(b) PC & 148 PC  (solicitation of prostitution and resisting arrest)
  • Nathaniel Gilman of Temecula, 647(b) PC  (solicitation of prostitution)
  • Robert Mills of Murrieta, 647(b) PC  (solicitation of prostitution)
  • Brett Moorhead of Murrieta , 647(b) PC  (solicitation of prostitution)
  • John Garlick of McKinney, Texas, 647(b) PC  (solicitation of prostitution)
  • Juan Gabriel Hernandez of Murrieta, 647(b) PC  (solicitation of prostitution)

"The Temecula Police Department will continue to conduct operations in the city to concentrate on solicitation of prostitution and the men who seek their services," he said.  "The Temecula Police Department is dedicated to maintaining a high quality of life and encourages citizens to report any suspicious activity they observe."
