Tasered Man Jailed on Suspicion of Resisting Officer

Patrick Gonzales Deorense, 32, of Murrieta, remained in jail Thursday on $5,000 bail.

A man who was Tasered by Murrieta police Wednesday night remained behind bars today.

Patrick Gonzales Deorense, 32, was booked into Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of obstructing or resisting an officer, a felony.

"He was detained because of suspicious behavior and he became assaultive towards one of the officers," said Murrieta police Lt. Tony Conrad.

Prior to being booked, Deorense was taken to Rancho Springs Medical Center to be evaluated.

Jail records show he was being held on $5,000 bail and was due in court Friday morning.
