Suspected Sex Predator Spotted In Temecula: Police Seek Public's Help Finding Him

A man suspected of sexually assaulting a child in the bathroom of a Denny's Restaurant in Palmdale on Jan. 1 may be in Southwest Riverside County.

Wednesday the Riverside County Sheriff's Department released photos of the man after he was allegedly spotted by a citizen at the Temecula Promenade Mall.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. Jan. 6, a citizen driving through the mall observed a man walk in front of their vehicle, the department reported.

The citizen honked at the man to move, and then drove away. The citizen later became aware of flyers put out by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department regarding the Jan. 1 incident and realized the man at the mall seemed to match the description of the suspect in the Denny's case.

The suspect is described by the Riverside County and Los Angeles County sheriff's departments as follows:

White male adult, about 5’8” tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with shaggy blond hair, and walking with a noticeable limp.

He was seen wearing a red shirt, dark-colored shorts, and dark tennis shoes during the alleged Jan. 1 attack. The man is also described as being a possible transient, according to the sheriff's departments. (SEE ATTACHED SURVEILLANCE PHOTOS.)
