Several Accidents Occur in Murrieta as Rain Continues

At least four crashes occurred in Murrieta since 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to reports.

No major injuries have been reported after several traffic accidents occurred on Murrieta roadways Wednesday.

A crash between a semi and a sedan occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on southbound Interstate 215 just before Los Alamos Road, resulting in a minor injury, according to the CHP. The crash caused traffic to back up on both sides of the freeway.

At 3:50 p.m., a motorcycle rider crashed near the intersection of Hunter and Winchester roads, but appeared to be uninjured according to initial reports.

Earlier in the day, at about 11:33 a.m., there was a two-car collision at Murrieta Hot Springs and Winchester roads, which did not result in any injuries.

At 11:46 a.m., a single vehicle spun out on the southbound ramp to Interstate 215 at Murrieta Hot Springs. No injuries were reported as a result of that crash, either.

The rain closed sports fields in Murrieta again on Wednesday.

Guava Street west of Jefferson was closed at about 4:30 p.m. due to flooding.
