Search Continues for Missing Murrieta Girl

Alexandria "Lexi" Noel Canestrelli, 16, left her Murrieta home Oct. 21. Meanwhile, she has been added to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's registry.

An extensive search continues for a 16-year-old Murrieta girl who has been gone for 10 days now.

Alexandria "Lexi" Noel Canestrelli has now been added to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's registry as an "Endangered Runaway." Her mother, Kristen Canestrelli, said friends and family helped put out 700 fliers Sunday.

"We are not giving up hope and refuse to stop looking for our daughter," Kristen said, in an email to Patch.

Alexandria left home about 1:30 p.m. Oct. 21, according to her mother, leaving behind most if not all of her belongings, including her cellphone and laptop computer.

Her mother said police are following up on leads in the San Diego area.

"They are actively searching here and continue to follow up with her friends for more clues," she said.

Alexandria is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 125 pounds. She has blondish brown hair and blue eyes and may wear her hair in a ponytail or bun.
