S.A.F.E. Welcomes New Board Members

Safe Alternatives for Everyone, S.A.F.E., works in partnership with the Temecula/Murrieta Police Activities League.

Local nonprofit agency Safe Alternatives for Everyone, or S.A.F.E., announced two new board members this week.

S.A.F.E. serves the Temecula Valley by providing life-changing and life-saving programs and services for children, youth and families who have experienced or are at risk of violence and abuse. This includes a partnership with the , which provides youth activities while building solid relationships with local law enforcement.

The new S.A.F.E. board members are Gary Allen and Jan Duran.

Allen is a wealth advisor with Allen Wealth Management. He has held multiple board positions including for Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley and Friends of the Library in Temecula.

“Knowing personally the value of peace and security in the home, as well as the challenges when they are lacking, I am honored to support a group that builds the community by strengthening families where peace, security and values blossom and grow," Allen said.

Duran provides escrow service and education to the Real Estate community in the Temecula Valley. She is currently a sales executive with Granite Escrow Services.

Duran is an affiliate member of the Southwest Riverside County Association of Realtors and serves the Women’s Council of Realtors, Southwest Riverside Chapter as secretary of the Board of Directors.

Additionally, Duran supports the community as CEO for Professional Women’s Roundtable, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women achieve professional success through mentoring and networking.

S.A.F.E. and P.A.L. invite area youth to their next event, a bicycle safety clinic followed by a barbecue. The event is scheduled for Sept. 10. To find out more about the bicycle clinic, .
