Riverside County Gang Task Force Asks For Tips

Citizens can submit information anonymously through an online form or call a tip line if they believe gang activity is taking place in their neighborhood.

Riverside County residents have been given new, anonymous ways to come forward about suspected gang activity in their neighborhood.

The Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force asks those who believe they have non-emergency information about suspected gang activity but do not wish to come forward to use the online Gang Task Force Tip Form or call 951-922-7601.

If any information is of an emergency nature, citizens are asked to call 911.

The Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force is represented by 25 local and state law enforcement agencies, including the . It is committed to creating safe and secure neighborhoods free of violent crime and gang activity, according to a news release.

This is done through a collaborative effort combining peace officers, probation officers, parole agents, federal agents, and prosecutors whose common objective is to provide targeted intelligence gathering, enforcement, investigation and vigorous prosecution of gang members engaged in criminal activity, the news release stated.

The task force also collaborates with school districts, community organizations, and the Riverside County District Attorney's Project Safe Neighborhoods program in providing education, intervention and prevention support.
