Reward Offered in Search for Fugitive Wanted in 2 Calif. Counties

Matthew Dwayne Greene, 41, said to have contacts in Riverside County, is wanted for alleged sexual assault on a minor and violation of probation.

Riverside County residents were among those asked to be on the lookout for a fugitive said to be "armed and dangerous," have gang affiliations and who is wanted in two California counties.

Matthew Dwayne Greene, 41, is suspected of committing unlawful sexual assault on a minor in San Diego. A warrant was issued Dec. 13, 2013 for his arrest, and on Thursday, San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force announced up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

“Greene is also in violation of his probation and a no bail warrant has been issued out of Butte County,” the agencies stated in a news release.

He is known to frequent the City of San Diego and also has contacts in the Riverside County area, authorities said.

He reportedly associates with gang members, and authorities said he should be considered “armed and dangerous.”

Greene was described as a 6-foot-tall black male weighing approximately 250 pounds. He has black hair with dreadlocks and brown eyes.
