Rancho California Homicide Investigation Underway

A Rancho California man has been arrested on suspicion of killing a woman, police are reporting.

Manuel Englis Quinanola, 65, was picked up by deputies shortly after 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 36100 block of Fox Hollow in unincorporated area just outside Temecula, according to jail records.

Deputies went to the area “to check the welfare of a female possibly staying at the location,” according to a report from Sgt. Tyson Voss of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. “When deputies arrived on scene, they located a deceased female in the front yard of the residence. The victim's injuries appeared to have been caused by blunt force trauma.”

The 50-year-old woman’s identity has not been released by authorities, and there is no indication on how she may have been killed.
