"However, Mr. Davolt did run over a fire hydrant on Canyon Oak and he then fled the area. He has been out of state prison for two weeks and failed to report to his assigned parole officer," Conrad said, in an email to Patch.

Because of the hit and run crime, as well as the failure to report, his parole officer violated his parole and he was booked at the Southwest Detention Center  for parole violation, Conrad said.

According to Riverside County court records, Davolt was sentenced in 2007 to four years in prison for vehicle theft with a prior felony record of burglary and vehicle theft.

Davolt was being held on no bail, according to jail records. He was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor hit and run with property damage, misdemeanor driving without a license and felony parole violation.
