Park Ranger Picks Up Wandering Teens West of Murrieta

The teens told a park ranger they were headed to a rave party, a sheriff's dispatcher said.

Seven teenagers who said they were on their way to a rave party were picked up by a forest ranger on Cleveland Forest Road west of Murrieta Friday evening.

The teens were found walking three miles west of Tenaja Road, according to a sheriff's dispatcher, and were found at about 8 p.m.

They flagged the ranger down and asked for a ride to the party, according to scanner reports.

Cleveland Forest Road is a windy, sometimes one-lane road that leads to Tenaja Falls and eventually to Ortega Highway as it winds through the forest lands.

It was unclear how the teens got there.
