Naked Man Leads Police on Foot Chase

Bryan Steve Allen, 28, is accused of being under the influence of an unknown drug when he allegedly ran naked through a Murrieta neighborhood, leading police on a foot chase.

A 5-foot-8, 200-pound man who may have been on drugs is accused of running naked through a Murrieta neighborhood early Tuesday, prompting an almost two-hour police foot chase.

The incident was first reported around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday near Wooden Horse Trail and Clinton Keith Road, near Nutmeg Street.

A naked man was seen running from his car on Clinton Keith Road, according to police reports. Several people told police they saw the man running through backyards of homes on Wooden Horse.

After hiding in bushes and a greenbelt, he was eventually captured by police at about 1:54 a.m. in a backyard in the 39500 block of Countryside Lane, Murrieta police Lt. Tony Conrad confirmed Friday.

The suspect, Bryan Steve Allen, 28, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled susbtance, a misdemeanor. He was cited and released from Southwest Detention Center on $2,500 bail.
