The cause of the accident was under investigation.

According to KTLA, a Los Angeles news channel, Burton was being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The news station reported that it was not the only incident involving a party bus this weekend. A few hours after Burton was struck, four people were shot and wounded during a fight on a different party bus.

That shooting happened just after 2 a.m. Sunday outside the Wonderland night club in the 1800 block of North Cahuenga Boulevard, KTLA reported.

A Facebook search revealed Burton may be a student at Cal State Northridge, but that could not immediately be confirmed.
