Murrieta Man Dies Following Whitewood Crash

Anthony Woods, 47, died early Thursday following traumatic injuries suffered in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday on Whitewood Road in Murrieta.

A Murrieta man has succumbed to injuries suffered Tuesday in a rollover crash on Whitewood Road.

Anthony Woods, 47, died early Thursday at Inland Valley Regional Medical Center, the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Office reported.

Woods suffered traumatic injuries when he on Whitewood Road near Hunter Road, police said at the time.

A preliminary investigation revealed Woods may not have been wearing his seat belt, Murrieta police Sgt. James Gruwell told Patch.

Woods was ejected from the car.

Woods was immediately transported to Inland Valley, where he succumbed to his injuries at 2:15 a.m. Thursday, the coroner's office reported.
