Perris Police Arrest Murrieta Man, 10 Others in Probation Compliance Sweep

Christopher Kerr, 20, of Murrieta was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and violation of probation.

Eleven people—including a Murrieta man—were arrested Monday during a probation compliance sweep in the city of Perris.

The probation checks were to verify that those released from custody are complying with their terms of release and are not engaging in additional criminal activity, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Ken Zunker. 

Deputies assigned to the Perris Police Department, Special Enforcement Team, in conjunction with the Riverside County Probation Department, carried out the sweep.

"During the course of this operation, deputies located several subjects who were adhering to their conditions," Zunker stated in a news release.

The following suspects were arrested and booked into Southwest Detention Center or Southwest Juvenile Hall on suspicion of the listed charges:

Christopher Kerr, 20-year-old resident of Murrieta; on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and violation of probation.

Julia Santellan, 23-year-old resident of Perris; on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Carlos Martin, 23-year-old resident of Perris; on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of probation and committing a felony while on bail.

Bobby August, 31-year-old resident of Perris; on suspicion of trespassing, violation of parole and violation of probation.

Patrick Carpentino, 47-year-old resident of Perris; on suspicion of possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation.

Ronald Largano, 51-year-old resident of Perris; on suspicion of possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Eduardo Delgado, 20-year-old resident of Perris; on suspicion of receiving stolen property.

A 16-year-old juvenile from Perris; on suspicion of receiving stolen property.

Jashawn Barton, 18-year-old resident of Perris; on suspicion of a felony warrant for receiving stolen property.

Jose Martinez-Yepez, 25-year-old resident of Perris; on suspicion of probation violation.

Ignacio Barraza, 21-year-old resident of Perris; on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation.

“The Perris Police Department maintains a zero tolerance approach with criminal activity and will continue to conduct similar operations in the future,” Zunker stated.
