Murrieta Home Damaged in Fire

Fire damaged a mobile home in Murrieta Tuesday, temporarily displacing the resident but causing no injuries.

The fire was reported around 9:15 a.m. in the 38300 block of Via La Paloma, according to Murrieta Fire Capt. Matt Corelli said.

The blaze was confined to the rear bathroom and bedroom of the mobile home, Corelli said.

A man escaped the burning home before firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. Damages were estimated at $35,000, but the mobile home was not a total loss, Corelli said.
