Murrieta Furniture Store Burglarized, 3 Arrested, Police Say

Two suspects who allegedly pried open the back door of Furniture Superstore Wednesday night were found hiding inside, while a third was suspected of acting as lookout, police said.

Three men suspected of breaking into a Murrieta furniture Wednesday night store were quickly apprehended by police, it was reported today.

Police were alerted to the break-in at about 9:49 p.m. Wednesday when the business alarm at , 25130 Madison Ave., was triggered, said Murrieta police Sgt. Matt Henry, in a news release.

Upon initiating a search of the building, officers allegedly found David Aaron Cowan, 22, and Alexander Jack Brandel, 23, both of Wildomar, hiding in a back room inside the business, Henry said. They had allegedly pried the back door to gain entry, the sergeant said.

There was no loss of inventory during the commission of the alleged burglary, according to police.

Cowan, Brandel and Dana were subsequently booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy to commit a felony.
