Murrieta Firefighter Honored by Citizens Group

Dean Hale, a Murrieta firefighter/paramedic, was one of four City public safety employees honored Saturday by the Murrieta United Methodist Church.

 

A Murrieta firefighter/paramedic was one of four City public safety employees honored by the Murrieta United Methodist Church on Saturday.

Dean Hale has been with the Murrieta Fire Department more than four years after an 18-year career with the City of Alhambra Fire Department. His career accomplishments have impacted the entire fire service community both local and statewide, said Matt Corelli, spokesman for the Murrieta Fire Department.

The church group selected the honorees because they demonstrated exceptional character while in the workplace and serve as role models in their personal lives.

"Hale is not only respected amongst his co-workers, but by all ages of the public who interact with Dean during the many programs he participates in," Corelli said.

Hale teaches CPR courses, directs activities for the Fire Department, coaches youth sports and mentors young people in the city.

His wife, two daughters and son were in attendance for his award ceremony as well as fellow firefighter friends and grateful citizens, Corelli said.
