Murrieta Ex-Con Arrested in Hemet on Gun Charge, Out on $5K Bail
Matthew White, 39, is accused of being an ex-felon in possession of ammunition and possession of a firearm.
A disturbance call in Hemet led police to arrest two ex- convicts in connection with the brandishing of a loaded semi-automatic handgun, according to the Hemet Police Department.
Officers received a call at 10:41 p.m. Friday about a large group of men smoking marijuana in front of an apartment building on Mayflower Street. One of the men pulled a gun at another man during the disturbance, Hemet police reported.
Two suspects, Matthew White, 39, of Murrieta, and Eric Bailey, 43, of Hemet, matched a description given to the officers. A loaded 9 mm handgun was spotted in the passenger seat of a vehicle, with its windows and doors open, that White and Bailey stood next to, police said.
