Menifee Man Arrested on Rape, Other Sex Assault Charges

A Menifee man was jailed on a quarter million dollars bail Friday, after he was arrested this week for the alleged sexual assault of a woman.

Riverside County Sheriff's Sgt. Glenn Williams says police conducted a rape investigation on Tuesday in the area of Menifee and Holland roads*.

The suspect, who apparently knows the victim, was tracked down and arrested Thursday in Cerritos, according to Williams and jail booking records.

"David Dawty Shui, 42, from Menifee was arrested for rape and forced oral copulation," Williams said in a statement.

Shui was taken to the Murrieta jail, with his bail set at $250,000, jail records indicate.

Anyone with information about the man or this investigation was asked to contact the investigator handling the case at (951) 210-1000, or by sending an email to PerrisStation@RiversideSheriff.org .
