Man's Body Found Near Lake Skinner

A civilian made the discovery at 11:28 p.m. on Tuesday on Ashfield Lane at Borel Road, according to the CHP.

The identity of a man found dead late Tuesday on a roadway near the Lake Skinner Recreation Area just outside the Murrieta-Temecula area was still pending, authorities said today.

The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Officer reported Wednesday morning that the victim, an 18-year-old Hemet man, had been struck by a sedan.

A civilian made the discovery at 11:28 p.m. on Tuesday on Ashfield Lane at Borel Road, according to the CHP.

The man was wearing all black clothing, and the person who found him at first could not tell whether he was injured or had been drinking, according to the CHP. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP.
