A man has been hospitalized after being shot multiple times near Lake Elsinore, sheriff's officials report.

According to Sheriff's Sgt. John Monarrez, the shooting was reported around 6:37 p.m. Wednesday in the 32000 block of Rome Hill Road in the county area near Lake Elsinore.

Investigators believe the 34-year-old man had been involved in an argument of some sort with people at a house in the area, and was shot at while walking away.

"The victim was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital for surgery," Monarrez said.  "The victim is currently stable and is expected to survive."

Upon responding to the scene, sheriff's deputies initiated a search of the area for a suspect, but they "...received conflicting statements on the suspect’s description and direction of travel," and couldn't locate the person.

I wasn't attempting to stifle your freedom of speech, only refuting your comment (which was excessive given your original in the prior article. I never flag anyone's comments, btw, only argue back. I'm loud and proud and I'm not afraid to debate anyone. I have no relation or ties to the city except living in it.

I thought "zip it (moron)" was intended to have me stop sharing my opinion. Seemed very anti 1st amendment.

I feel we are becoming great friends. I'm off today, well working from home (you know taking it easy).... I hope you get all your chores done. If you need anything, there is a Walmart just off RailRoad Canyon Rd. (just a mile south of the proposed site for the Mega Walmart off Central) on Grape St. I suggest going late at night or really early in the morning. ;)

BLUESGUITAR777 and TH Resident. you are both right, intelligent, mature for not killing each other over opinions, and best of all SNARKY. you SHOULD become friends and then take me out for drinks. I LOVE a good debate. of course my idea of a good time is having people threaten to punch me in the face or tell me to calm down before they call the cops. Girls should be opinionated right ;)
