French Valley: Heroin Found, 2 Arrested

Twenty grams of heroin were allegedly found inside a French Valley home, according to a news release from the Temecula Police Department.

Two people were arrested Wednesday in French Valley in connection with an ongoing investigation into heroin sales in Temecula, according to police.

Richard Dennis Murphy Jr., 27, and Rebecca Lacy Grimshaw, 23, were taken into custody when a search warrant was served at about 5 p.m. in the 31400 block of Rivera Street in Winchester, according to a news release written by Temecula police Lt. Doug McGrew.

The Temecula Police Department's Special Enforcement Team had been working on the investigation, which led them to that address where they believe the primary suspect lived, McGrew said.

While serving the warrant Wednesday, McGrew said officers detained Murphy and Grimshaw away from the property.

"Murphy was in possession of five grams of heroin, and Grimshaw was under the influence," McGrew said. "Officers entered the home with the search warrant and obtained an additional 20 grams of heroin."

Grimshaw was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence, and Murphy on suspicion of possession of heroin for sale, the lieutenant said.

Grimshaw has since been released from Southwest Detention Center on the misdemeanor charge, while Murphy remains jailed on no bail and faces a probation revocation hearing, according to sheriff's jail records.

SA, alot of the time I agree with you. Concerning adults definately. Then adults are responsible for keeping their kids off the stuff or not. As it is now adults and/or kids are going to use it now anyway. Just hate to see otherwise good people and kids get wrapped up in this stuff.

Michael, it is the low income housing project at 79 south and Margarita that was originally for homeless people but now it will be for the parolees and druggies with a few good people thrown in

Wolfcreek, Down by where the new hospital is then? Ahhh.....are you sure about the low income housing, or parolees etc? Hell, a few of my doctors are down there and I would hate to be target practice. I thought it was somewhere over by Old Town you kept referring to that would go with the other low income housing/apartments.

Where were you raised? it obviously is not The U.S.! I cam across one of your posts where you troll your neighborhood getting into business that HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU! DO you check the length of the blades of grass on people lawns? It's none of your damn business if someone is not working, then again how is it that you troll the neighborhood looking for people who are not working unless you yourself do not work! Those people you call the cops on wow! Man think what could happen when you step on the wrong toes!

Get them all. Too many broken hearts and broken dreams.. because H is to easy and cheap to get. crush every dealer big or small ... like a roach. It doesn't matter how little the dealer is. That dealer is still responsible for the rippling effect. The problems that small time dealer creates are bigger than he/she knows.
