A two-alarm fire Monday damaged a home, caused minor damage to an adjacent property and prompted the closure of a road in Menifee but no injuries were reported.
The blaze was reported at 8:27 p.m., in the 28200 block of Winged Foot Drive, according to Cal Fire officials.
Arriving firefighters saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the single-story home, Cal Fire's Melody Hendrickson said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation, Hendrickson said.
Winged Foot Drive was closed for a time between Cherry Hills and McCall boulevards, she said.
A man and a woman were displaced by the fire and were assisted with temporary housing and other needs by the Red Cross.
