Fire Claims Garage of Murrieta Home

A Jaguar parked inside the garage appeared to be a total loss.

Fire destroyed the garage of a Murrieta home Friday night, along with the car inside it. Other parts of the home were damaged by smoke and heat.

Seventeen firefighters, four engines, a truck and a breathing support vehicle rushed to the house to the home at 29504 Pebble Beach Dr. shortly before 7 p.m. Friday, to find the garage fully involved.

Flames engulfed a Jaguar parked inside the garage before threatening to spread to the second floor above the garage. Crews accessed the second floor from the roof of the garage, using ventilation tactics and were successful in putting out the flames.
