Family Displaced Following House Fire in Canyon Lake

The local Red Cross chapter was called to help out the family.

Fire charred a Canyon Lake home Saturday and left of family of four homeless, a spokeswoman said.

Firefighters were dispatched at 10:18 a.m. to the 30200 block of Buck Tail Drive, where smoke was seen coming from the front door. 

The blaze was contained to one room within 15 minutes, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

A cause was not immediately known. The local Red Cross chapter was called to help out the family, Hendrickson said.
