Crash Knocks Out Traffic Lights at Murrieta Hot Springs, Winchester Roads

The crash occurred at about 7:20 p.m. at the southwest corner of the intersection, CHP reported. As of 7:44 p.m., Murrieta police officers were conducting traffic control.

A vehicle crashed into a traffic pole Friday evening at the intersection of Murrieta Hot Springs and Winchester roads, knocking out the signals, California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash occurred at about 7:20 p.m. at the southwest corner of the intersection, according to CHP's Web page. At least two vehicles were involved, one of which went in the pole.

Murrieta police and fire responded to the incident that fell inside the city limits.

The parties invovled in the crash declined medical treatment, according to police radio conversation.

As of 7:44 p.m., Caltrans had been summoned to place flashing stop signs at the intersection.

Meantime, officers were conducting traffic control.
