Crash Forces Closure of Murrieta Hot Springs Onramp to I-215

The closure was lifted at 7:03 p.m., according to CHP.

A crash forced the closure Tuesday evening of the onramp to northbound Interstate 215 from Murrieta Hot Springs Road, California Highway Patrol reported.

The closure began at 6:30 p.m. but was lifted by 7:03 p.m., according to CHP.

Three vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash that occurred at 6:04 p.m., according to CHP.

One of the cars reportedly hit a guardrail and plunged into a ravine on the northbound side of the freeway, just south of Murrieta Hot Springs. A tow truck was required to removed the car.

Murrieta police and fire along with CHP were on scene.

It was not clear if there were any injuries.
