Crash Closes Lanes on I-15 at Winchester

At least one person was injured Friday in a crash on southbound Interstate 15 before Winchester Road.

At least two lanes closed but were quickly reopened Friday after a crash involving multiple vehicles on southbound Interstate 15 at Winchester Road.

The crash was reported at 11:03 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol, and involved a white Toyota pickup truck and silver van.

A sig alert was issued at 11:11 a.m., closing lanes 3 and 4.

The lanes were reopened by 11:31 a.m., but the onramp to Winchester Road was then blocked for a time.

The crash caused traffic to slow a few miles before the crash on interstates 215 and 15 south.

Murrieta Fire Department, CHP, Temecula police and CAL Fire responded.

CAL Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reported at least one injury when someone had to be extricated from one of the vehicles.
