Coroner ID's Body Found Just Outside Temecula/Murrieta City Limits

Delaware resident Mary Bungato, 50, was visiting her uncle in the 36100 block of Fox Hollow, and now police say he is suspected of killing her.

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office has identified the body of a woman found June 14 just outside city limits of Temecula and Murrieta.

Delaware resident Mary Bungato, 50, - identified by her family as Mary Grace Quinanola Eleazar - had been visiting her uncle, 65-year-old Manuel Englis Quinanola in the 36100 block of Fox Hollow, authorities said.

Police now suspect him of killing her.

Quinanola was picked up by deputies shortly after 11:30 p.m. Friday, according to jail records.

Deputies went to the unincorporated area Friday “to check the welfare of a female possibly staying at the location,” according to a report from Sgt. Tyson Voss of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. “When deputies arrived on scene, they located a deceased female in the front yard of the residence. The victim's injuries appeared to have been caused by blunt force trauma.”

There is no further indication on how she may have died.

Homicide detectives have assumed the investigation, according to Voss's report.
