Power was knocked out Tuesday evening to 172 French Valley residents when a car hit an electrical pole.

The pole was hit at about 6 p.m. near the intersection of Pourroy Road and Galleano Avenue, according to Southern California Edison Spokeswoman Nancy Rodriguez Casanova.
