Candlelight Prayer Vigil Planned Sunday for McGlover Family

The vigil will take place at 6 p.m. Sunday as the family of Wanda McGlover seeks answers in her death on a French Valley roadside.

A candlelight prayer vigil will take place Sunday on behalf of the family of a French Valley woman seeking answers in her death.

The vigil is planned for 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30 at the corner of Washington Street and Brookridge Lane in Winchester, where the near-dead body of 68-year-Wanda McGlover was found in a ditch Sept. 21.

Though initial reports were that it may have been a hit-and-run accident, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced Friday it was investigating the death as a homicide.

A spokesperson for the family asked the community to come out and show their support at Sunday's vigil.

What a beautiful wreath. Somebody put a lot of thought and care in making it. Thank you! The killer will be found sooner or later. But he will be found.

It seems to me there may have been two people involved. One that beat her down. The other hat hit her with the car Because if her daughter heard her say "excuse me" that was probably the person who beat her then the getaway car was probably trying to finish her off. The police should consider looking into the family or friendds of the individual that she hit on August 7. I do believe these two incidents are related. I do hope the find and punish this person. This is deffently revenge!!!

Maria, That is why the police changed it from a possible hit and run to a homicide. They probably knew a few hours into the death that this was something other then a hit and run, and the community was also putting all that together. Like Dalia says above, they will be found. Everyones prayers will help make sure of that.
