Barn Fire Quickly Contained In Menifee

The blaze was reported at 6:42 a.m. at Zeiders and Scott roads, just west of Interstate 215.

Smoke that billowed Wednesday morning near Murrieta was coming from a barn fire in Menifee, according to fire officials.

The blaze was reported at 6:42 a.m. at Zeiders and Scott roads, according to a report from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, just west of Interstate 215 near the Murrieta-Menifee border.

Twenty-six firefighters were called to the scene.

The blaze was quickly contained but officials remained at the site for approximately two hours afterward, according to the report.

There were no reports of injuries.
