Arrests Made in String of Burglaries in Murrieta

An 18-year-old male and a juvenile male were arrested on suspicion of several residential and vehicle burglaries that took place between March and June.

Two were in custody for a string of alleged residential and vehicle burglaries in Murrieta, and many victims have their property back, police said Friday.

Eduardo Torres, 18, of Murrieta, and a juvenile male whose name or age were not given, were arrested on suspicion of the crimes when search warrants were served Thursday by detectives with the Murrieta Police Department and the Murrieta Temecula Gang Task Force.

"The search warrants were a result of an ongoing investigation into several residential and vehicle burglaries as well as thefts from unlocked vehicles," said Murrieta police Sgt. Phil Gomez in a news release.
