Alleged Armed Robber Arrested in French Valley

The suspect allegedly beat a man as he sat in his car and made off with some of his stuff.

A man who allegedly beat and robbed a Menifee man was caught at a bail bonds business in French Valley, just outside of Murrieta.

Kenneth James Criger, 25, was arrested at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at , 30195 Auld Road, on suspicion of felony strong-arm robbery, using a firearm and committing a felony while on bail, according to jail records.

The victim was sitting in his car around 10:30 p.m. on Monday on Goetz Road near South Canyon Drive in Menifee when the suspect and another man walked up, pulled out a handgun, beat the victim, took some of his belonging and escaped in a black Acura Integra, according to Temecula Police Chief Andre O'Harra.

Temecula deputies identified the suspects and served a search warrant at a home, but they made no arrest, according to the chief.

One suspect is still at large. Anybody with information was asked to call the Menifee sheriff's department 951-201-0540.
