Accused Murrieta Kohl's Thieves Arrested in Traffic Stop

It was not immediately known the value of the items that were allegedly stolen.

Two people suspected of stealing from were arrested in Lakeland Village near Lake Elsinore Monday night.

Christopher Daniels and Hannah Cropper were arrested following an “enforcement stop” on a U-Haul truck they were driving in the area of Lorimer Street and Broomall Avenue.

According to a report from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s station, during Monday’s stop shortly after 10 p.m. a search of the truck “revealed clothing items with the security tags still attached. Further investigation determined the items to be stolen from Kohl's department store in the city of Murrieta.”

The Murrieta Police Department was contacted. It was not immediately known the value of the items that were allegedly stolen.

Daniels, who was driving the truck, had an outstanding felony warrant, according to police. In addition to the warrant, he and Cropper were both arrested and booked for receiving stolen property.
