7 Injured, 1 Fatally in I-15 Crash in Temecula

Two patients were in critical condition and five suffered minor to moderate injuries in the 10:53 p.m. crash on northbound Interstate 15 just south of Winchester Road.

All lanes on northbound Interstate 15 near Winchester Road in Temecula were reopened as of 12:25 a.m. early Wednesday following a crash in which seven people were injured—two critically.

Lanes were blocked Tuesday night on northbound Interstate 15 just south of Winchester Road in Temecula due to a crash involving several injured parties.

One person was trapped in the two-car crash that was reported at 10:53 p.m., according to CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department.

"A total of seven patients will be transported, two critical and five minor to moderate," said Jody Hagemann, Riverside County Fire Department spokesperson.

A SigAlert was issued at 11:10 p.m. for northbound I-15 at Winchester Road. Most lanes were closed until further notice, according to California Highway Patrol.

Only the number one lane was open just south of Winchester Road, CHP reported.
