4 Displaced by Menifee House Fire

Two adults and two children have been displaced from their home at 25720 Carol Lane in Menifee after a fire broke out Tuesday morning. They were not home at the time of the fire.

Two adults and two children were displaced after a fire broke out in their Menifee home Tuesday morning.

The fire damaged nearly half of the home at 27250 Carol Lane, according to Melody Hendrickson, spokesperson for CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the fire at the residence just north of Keller Road and west of Interstate 215 at 8:51 a.m. to find smoke coming from the roof, Hendrickson said in a report.

No one was home at the the time of the fire.

By 9:19 a.m, the fire was contained to 40 percent of the home, Hendrickson said.

While the residents were displaced, they did not require Red Cross assistance, Hendrickson said.

Twenty-five firefighters responded to the fire. Southern California Edison also responded.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
