21-Year-Old Murrieta Man Found Dead; Suicide Suspected

Murrieta police received a report at 9:29 a.m. Tuesday that a body was hanging from a tree.

A 21-year-old Murrieta man was found dead of an apparent suicide today.

Murrieta police received a report at 9:29 a.m. Tuesday that a body was found hanging from a tree in a dirt lot behind the 37600 block of Flora Court, Murrieta police Lt. Tony Conrad confirmed.

"Some citizens were walking and found him," Conrad said.

The area is known to some locals as the Warm Springs Creek area, off of Hunter Road.

Conrad did not have information on how long the body may have been there, just that it was being "investigated it as an apparent suicide."

The Riverside County Coroner's Office would be assuming that part of investigation, Conrad said.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately available from the Coroner's Office.
