2 Runaway Boys Located After a Police Search

Two boys, 11 and 12 years old, who left school were located by Murrieta police about an hour later.

Murrieta police were able to locate two boys who ran away from school Tuesday.

A search involving a perimeter ensued near Mountain Pride Drive off Jackson Avenue for an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old.

"The boys were considered critical missing because of their age," said Murrieta police Lt. Rob Firmes.

"They went to school but must have walked away," the lieutenant said.

The boys are day students at Oak Grove, he said.

One of the boys lived in the neighborhood near Mountain Pride, which is why police concentrated their search in that area, he said. The search area backed up to nearby E. Hale Curran Elementary.
