2 Injured in 'T-Bone' Crash on Winchester Road in Murrieta

One person who became trapped in their vehicle was rescued from the wreckage.

Two people were injured Tuesday evening in a crash at the intersection of Winchester Road and Robert Trent Jones Parkway in Murrieta.

The wreck, described as a "t-bone" by Murrieta fire Chief Matt Shobert, was reported at about 6:34 p.m. on southbound Winchester—also known as Highway 79—the chief confirmed.

One of the injured parties was trapped in their vehicle until paramedics with the Murrieta Fire Department arrived and performed a cut-and-rescue maneuver, Shobert confirmed.
